We’re excited to welcome parents to our Thanksgiving Luncheon on Wednesday, November 19th, for 3rd–5th grade students ONLY!

3rd Grade: 11:05–11:40
4th Grade: 11:45–12:20
5th Grade: 12:25–1:00
❗️Adjusted K–2 Lunches (Nov. 19):
KG: 10:15–10:45 | 1st: 10:30–11:00 | 2nd: 10:45–11:15
🎟️ Tickets (Cash only. Please purchase at our front office.)
Adults: $9 (limit 2 per student)
Child: $4 (non-North Star students)
👉 Ticket sales end Friday, November 14th — no exceptions!

Students must wear their uniform shirts, as these photos will be used for official student records. Don’t worry—there will be other picture days later in the year that will be free dress.

🗓️ Open House: Join us on Thursday, July 24th from 1:00–3:00 PM to meet your child’s teacher and drop off any school supplies.
Ms. Amaro will also be hosting a Gifted & Talented Parent Information Session in room 202.
🖍️📚 2025–2026 School Supply Lists Are Now Available! All students will receive a supply box from the district with basic items, so only the additional supplies listed here are needed. Be sure to check the list for your child’s grade level to be ready for the new school year! Let’s get ready for a great year! ✏️✨
👕 School Uniforms: Uniforms are required starting day one.
Shirts: Red, white, or royal blue (school logo encouraged but not required)
Bottoms: Jeans, joggers, shorts, or dark-colored pants/sweatpants (no ripped/torn clothing; appropriate length and fit)
Outerwear: Jackets and hoodies can be any color as long as they are appropriate in size and do not have inappropriate text on them.
Dress code will be enforced. Parents will be notified if their child is not in compliance.

Ozzy is kicking out bullying at North Star! Our 4th & 5th grade students learned how to recognize and stop bullying using Ozzy's B.A.T.S. strategy. Huge thanks to the El Paso Locomotive FC for empowering our kids to stand up and speak out! 💙💛

Lunch times will be as follows:
3rd: 11:15-11:50
4th: 11:55-12:30
5th: 12:35-1:05
Parents may come and enjoy lunch with 3rd-5th grade students only, with a purchased ticket meal, or any meal you want to bring if you do not buy a ticket.
All other grade levels will have an early, regular lunch time:

North Star welcomed some special visitors today! Santa made a stop on his way back to the North Pole to take photos with our students. Later, Chico joined us for an engaging presentation on bullying and even showed off some of his impressive dance moves!
